How long before I should upgrade

Problem will likely be finding a place to get them serviced. I suspect that primary 2nd is an unbalance, adjustable 2nd; and the octo is just a classic downstream 2nd. So, for parts that normally wear out (o-rings, HP seat, and LP seat) replacements will be reasonable available but you will have to find them or find a tech who will. If you ever crack a case or damage the piston, things may get a lot tougher. You will just need to find the right shop to support you.

I've never seen something like this. Does it work? JK The issue is if you can get it serviced like mentioned. If the dive shop says your good to go keep using it.
