Well, I've dived cageless with great whites here (not intentionally though)... but we had snorkelers in the water with Humboldts a few years ago off our West End and they were in Avalon Harbor a year or two ago.

The Rocio del Mar had a Squid cage on their vessel, but AFAIK they have taken it off. I am not sure what the future holds.
