It seems that cenotes are a genetic taste more than an acquired taste. Either you love them at first sight or you don't. I enjoyed them, but found them kind of boring, while other divers I was with labeled them as their favorite dives ever. Other responders have named every site I have dove, so I can only affirm their recomendations, but have nothing to add.

There is probably a 3rd explaination. There is no marine life. It will definitely get boring. But I want to see the different cenotes....and there are lots of them. It could be awhile before I get bored with it.
Actually, it may not take that long. I have a feeling that I would be done after I have been the most amazing ones...

I don't know . . . if you liked them that much, I suspect you'll just get more hooked with more exposure. But it is true that there are some people who are pretty much immune to the lure -- and some of us who, if it were possible, would dive nothing but caves.
