Hi All, I live in Battle Creek, MI and mostly have inland lakes to dive. I dive from my 16' Renker bowrider and use a Magellan SporTrak to find those things that have coord's. I've even had it on Lake Michigan in 1' to 2' conditions and it was a great dive day. However, I will be getting a fishfinder soon. I was wondering if anybody knew how the transducers vary from sidescan sonars or know of any websites that can clearly define the differences. I am very interested in this as I would like to up the clarity and range of view for as little money as possible even if this means designing and building something myself. Any and all assistance will be appreciated. Thanks.
