howd you lose em? during dive or post dive?
 
Post Dive. The Vyper wasn't even on a dive, I noticed it missing after a class. I don't want to make any accusations, and I'm pretty sure I didn't just misplace it. I'll just have to keep better track of my more expensive toys.
 
I lost a dive light on one of the deeper local wrecks two years ago while acending the mooring line dealing with a free flow. The light was off and dropped a ways off the wreck in about 140 fow. I was at a club meeting last October and one of my fellow divers returned it to me. I bought him a beer and thanked him profusely. After being down for about eighteen months the light cleaned up like new and the batteries were still good. That 36 degree lake Michigan water does have a way of preserving things.
