XJae - I have a drysuit(most of my dives this year have been in a drysuit) and signed up for an ice diving class awhile back so waiting for the ice to come so I can get my certification out of the way. Maybe I'll take some time off around my B-day (23rd of March) and come do an ice dive with you since I should have one ice dive under my belt by then. Will let you know here in the next couple weeks.
No rush, it won't be planned until it's closer to frozen. Last year I think there were only two weekends where Lake Champlain was frozen enough [March]. There were a few people here certified last year, so I'll remember to ask about a "no training" price too. [most trips are run as a training excursion]

it's always lobster season. :D

I just got my on-call schedule today. We go in 2 week rotations so I split the duties between 3 other guys. I will just have to be very specific on which days I am able to come out, could totally be hit or miss, guess we'll just have to see how things work out. I had planned on going on a cruise in December but looks like I'm going to be taking a couple long weekends to Florida or maybe even North Carolina and taking the cruise in 2006. Anyway thanks for the info...

I definitely think the Wreck Valley gang needs to join us for some NC diving. Keep an eye on our forum for upcoming trips. I think the April one is full but there will be more.
Well I was planning on it...but "Thanks a lot Francis" Then on the second attempt my buddy couldn't make it.

no, that's inches.
you have to measure the carapace.
[behind the eye socket to the end of the body shell - no tail]

btw, you can't take females with eggs.
and i'm pretty sure you can only use your hands to catch them.
[i'm no expert]

well actually the season never ends

Yeah isn't that why we all got drysuits in the first place?

Great links too. I wasn't aware that tickle sticks were legal in NJ.
