I've got a VT3 with wireless transmitter, but for various reasons up till now, I've always had an spg as well. I'm currently putting together a new setup and am debating whether or not to get my own spg.

My main reason for considering this is the situation where I've turned my tank on a quarter turn by mistake. With an spg, it's obvious that there's a problem as when breathing through the reg at the surface during a buddy check, the needle will dip and return to the starting position. For those of you who only use the wireless transmitter, do you find that the sampling rate is high enough to detect this? (I can't check myself at the moment, as I don't have a tank to hand...)

Can't hurt to keep the SPG.

Yes, you can tell right away with an AI transmitter.
