after my AOW night dive, i disassembled my brand new Ikelite super 8 to wipe it down and make sure no moisture had gotten inside.. all was well..
i put all my equipement away and 2 weeks later when i removed the light from my dive box i noticed the reflective material was discolored. i disassembled the light and found that the batteries had leaked and eaten away the reflective coating. needless to say, the light is now worthless. too bad, i really liked the light..
i have'nt had time to talk with the dive shop where i purchased it, but i'll ask anyway.
anyone else have a similar problem? what should be the next step? i can't imagine Ikelite would accept responsibility and replace the light? I can't imagine the battery company accepting blame?
input or advice is appreciated..
