Aside from that. avoid the inflator /octo combination. Reason being is. In the event of an OOA how do you vent your BC???

And you've used one when? And you used it without reading the owner's manual?

Why would you at this point in your diving be in a situation where you are needing to do mandatory stops?

Obviously a safety stop, but if you have a computer failure isn't a general rule to do a very slow ascent with lots of stops? Just to be on the safe side.

By the way I seem to have generated a lot of replies - so just to clarify I would always err on the incredibly cautious paranoid side of everything that can go wrong will go wrong. Its just me :) I'd prefer to have lots of backups and never be in a sticky situation, and so would have anything to avoid one.
