Info on Dahab, Red Sea

A question, if I may: This one year tourist visa you guys are talking about, is it a multiple entry visa?

It can be, you have to pay an additional amount (i can't remember how much it costs) for 2 addition entries (I think it's 2)? Also, I remember you can get a 6-11 month visa for cheaper (i think around half the price) than the 12 month visa...so unless you know you'll be there for 1 full year, it might be a better option. doesn't make much sense, but remember alot of things wont make sense there.....

True. Actually giving a 12 month "touristic" visa doesn't make any sense.

another thing that doesn't make much sense is the occasional dive center "raids" to make sure that everyone working has a work permit...when everyone including the government knows that the dive industry (a major contributor of the economy) is almost fully supported by illegal work.. definitely can see some similarity to the construction (among others) industry in the US.
