I just got fitted for my pool classes and open water dives.

The first suit I tried on was 3 or 5 mm (I think it was 5 mm). That was a struggle.

But then I tried to put on the 7mm wet suit. First of all I couldn't believe how heavy that was, but putting that on was even harder than the first wet suit. I barely got it on and still needed to make some adjustments which I didn't bother with.

Is there an easy way to get these wet suits on?

I really hope there is because I'm not looking forward to doing that again.

No. I too leave my socks on when putting on the pants (farmer john). Don't take it off and try putting it back on wet. Find a good pee routine.....

I found the a full body rash guard + lycra socks to be the best combination.

The socks might help you slip your foot through but you still have to pull the wet suit over your thighs. Wouldn't that part still be difficult?

This plus rash gaurd socks for the boots.

Or just except the future or cold water diving and go dry.
