I've lived in California for 7 years and didn't know till yesterday that an accident worse than Three Mile Island happened in 1959 in Simi Valley. It was covered up till 1979 and it seems not too many people even know about it today.

My microbiology professor used to rail on cigarette smoking and cite the radioactivity and free radicals in his rant. He believed that the particles (even after the smoker was finished with the cancer stick) clung to clothing and impacted those around the smoker. Any non smoker with a sense of smell knows the experience of someone walking into the room who just had a cigarette.

Not railing on smokers... I have compassion for your situation... just sayin'
