Keep in mind that it was fisherman who caught it. Not marine biologists. It was still alive when they hauled it out.

gangrel441:You still haven't answered one of my first questions...what other giants are you talking about? The only other I know of was the giant squid (archeteuthus) last summer. That was most certainly brought up by a marine biologist, NOT a fisherman. And it is well-documented that it was near death at the surface when they brought it in.
