Day three and day four of ADP super awesome and challenging. Day three 4 hrs in the pool followed with 4 hrs classroom and day four over at anacapa island on the Spectre boat diving. Dialed in our weighting then worked on peak buoyancy and trim , then proceeded onto controlled descents and ascents which I liked the best. We did maskless with eyes closed " no visual references " descents and ascents using lung volume and breath control only.

The classroom consisted of 4hrs with underwater navigation , dive tables and decompression being the topics . Day four on the spectre we focused on buoyancy and trim in surge at various depths, controlled descents/ascents using lung volume and breath control especially at the safety stop in mid water no up line. We also worked on navigation swimming L patterns and squares , some were with visual reference and some in mid water while focusing on depth/nav/and distance.

Can't wait for next week. Steven

Steve,
Thanks for the update..
when you complete the LA Co ADP you will truly be an ADVANCED DIVER and all the skills and knowledge that should be required to be an ADVANCED DIVER, rather than a card that indicates you have made 5 or 6 dives and are an "advanced diver."

Look forward to the next report,

SDM
