Wife and I took private lessons from the owner of a LDS. His patience and willingness to spend additional time with my wife is largely responsible for her success. As a result we purchased everything we needed, two of everything, Suunto Cobras, hyper stretch wet suits, lights, masks, dive bags, regs, tanks, etc., etc. Several thousands of dollars when you lump it all togeather. No discounts. Not even a free hanger or bottle of mask defogger. I don't regret a penny spent because he seriously went the extra mile for us. We are on our way to Key Largo in Oct and Belize in Jan and she and I can enjoy diving together comfortably and safelyas a result of his coaching. Yes, I do buy somethings over the net. LDS wanted $54 for a Diver Down Float and I got the same one from LP for $39.
They say that you get Speed, Price or Quality--Pick 2. I'll opt for high quality and great service 99% of the time.
