I added a couple old brass double enders and it's slightly negative now.

Another mod...added a pole spear holder using 2 pieces of 1" long and 1/2" ID PVC and some stainless (#6 coarse thread 1/2" long) screws and nuts. It just snaps in and out, but is held securely so no worries about it popping out on entry or if it's bumped a bit on a reef/the bottom.

Took it out today and it worked like a champ. It sits on the bottom and stays where you put it. I really like the pole spear holder too.
