I do use a speargun but for lionfish I normally just jab them.They will fill out in the ecosystem until they reach a point where either they become prey or are limited by the volume of prey they have.10 yrs ago there we maybe 5% of what there are now in the areas I dive.

A number of restaurants here in the Cayman Islands will buy lionfish. I believe the prove is $5 per pound
