Question looking for a compact 800+ lumen dive light.

So i have a primary dive light the bigblue VTL5000P looking to invest in a secondary dive light, and one that i could use for daytime (looking inside wrecks, under rocks) but i don't want to carry my primary as it's big and heavy.

I'm looking for something that has at least 800 lumens, spot beam, and has a compact form, budget 250$.
I've been looking at the orcatorch d520, bigblue AL1300NP, and the divepro s10.

I use an Odepro W12; it is small, works and I haven't had any problems with it. It is bright with multiple settings.

Ocra D550 comes with a soft handle and a rear mounted button. It's a pretty decent light for a backup or day time primary.

Orca D530 has a side mounted button and no handle.

Both are great lights for your use.

Another option is Nitescuba. The S20 and S12 are both great lights. These can be found an Amazon for $60 and $35 respectively. I use the S20 as my primary on every dive, day and night, in the murky PNW waters. The S12 or D530 go in my drysuit pocket as a backup on each dive.

All of the above are very good lights at amazing prices, I have them all and use the S12 on trips where the built in emergence signaling may be needed. My main light I carry all of the time is the orca D710 because I like the 21700 battery and nice compact size, your budget can get you two of each of them with money left over.

I have a Big Blue VTL9000P-Max. They claim it puts out 9000 lumens for 3 hours. They told me it would be the full 9000 until just shy of 3 hours, when it would go into low power mode.

I would expect your VTL5000P to behave the same way.

The DGX700 only has one brightness.

The D710 requires you to hold the power button down to activate Turbo mode. I don't see most people swimming around that way, so showing what it looks like in its "normal" brightest mode is what I was going for. Also, I was holding my GoPro in one hand and the lights in the other...

Also, the D710 only gets very minimally brighter in Turbo mode. To my eye, it still doesn't really look any brighter than the DGX700.

I have posted pictures in another thread recently, taken in my living room using a real camera in full Manual mode so all Exposure settings are the same, comparing the DGX700 vs D710 on High and the D710 on Turbo vs Big Blue VTL9000P-Max. I think the pics I posted make it easy enough to see that the D710 gets only slightly brighter on Turbo.
