Maui car rental in May

^^ I have only been there 2x, but both times there were rental car break-ins reported. They really liked night divers. Its dark, they know you are down for an hour and very few potential witnesses along the beach after sunset. My solution was doors unlocked, windows down, older car. The only thing to steal was my beach towel. It worked for me.

It has been well documented on here over the years about cars being broken into here on the island, just like on Bonaire and on the mainland as well.

The trick is to not leave anything of value in the car and leave the doors unlocked or the windows down.
