Does the epozote spice = chili arbol molido powder?

Sounds interesting....

No, completely different thing. I doubt you can find it in the states.
 
Actually we found both in the states.

Epazote de Comer is simmered in with the corn.

Chile Arbol Molido is sprinkled on the corn as the cheese is.
 
I found epazote at a gardening nursery and have grown it two years in Michigan. It is the special flavor that adds just the right touch to frijoles, when you simmer them from scratch. Also good if you add it to the water when you cook pasta.
 
I doubt you can find it in the states.

Here in Los Angeles, you can get everything! You don't even have to speak Spanish in many parts of town. :D

There are ethnic markets in most large cities in the US that carry Mexican specialty items, or you can order them on the internet.
