Oops, forgot where you are. Cliff Notes are study "aids". You can get them for all the major literary works. Basically they have a summary of each chapter, tell you what the important points are and give you a couple questions to think think about. They have a bad name in the US because they are often used instead of reading the book.
Now that we're on the same page (no pun intendend), take another look at about my analogy.
