Thanks, all for the advise. I am still working through the issues and am waiting for Father's Day before I buy one (hoping my kids have been seeing the ones I have left open on the computer screen). I need one before the Saipan trip on June 20.

Oh Great, here we go picking on the old blind guy again:D
Hi, I guess I'm even newer than you but your post his VERY close to home.
I keep springing back to the Oceanic VEO because the ads mention LARGE digits.
I actually have not seen ANY in operation but Oceanic keeps popping up, not only for visual but price and nitrox capable.
NOW
If you ever find a mask that has variable diopter (my sight degrades daily) let me know:rofl3::rofl3::rofl3::rofl3::rofl3:

The most recent edition of Scuba Diving magazine has a great graphic comparison of dive computers, and it shows how many gas switches you can do with each one.

Regarding the vision issue, optometry clinics will add prescription lenses to any 2-glass diving mask. You might need that to see the dials and gauges underwater.

can they do "no line bifocal"?:rofl3:

Father's day brought a very nice wrist mount Aeris XR2 with the computer cable. Thanks for all the advice.
