Hola everyone, My name is Kurt and I just got my open water cert in April. I have 36 logged dives and after tomorrow will have 38. Want to hit 50 by sept 1st. I live in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and am very lucky to have the ocean as my backyard. Never dove when i lived in the Pacific N.W., but hey, better late than never right!!! I have been lucky enough to be diving and riding the manta rays that inhabit the bay here and have also had some incredible diving. I love this sport!!!!!! When I learned the water was green and only about 70 degrees, it is now clear, blue and 84f, not bad. Tomorrow we will be feeding some large moray eels on a high spot in 30ft of water, so I will post some photos soon. I hope to visit this site very often and enjoy other divers experiences.

Hey Kurt, welcome to SB, so you live in PV, how nice, love PV. Look forward to seeing your pictures, did my very first dive in PV. Welcome aboard my friend.

It sounds like you're in a great location to go with the sport. Check our our New Divers forum and go on from there here...

A few suggestions I do like to offer every new member. First, it's good to keep your Profile with location and Dive Info with number of dives up to date so other members can address any questions appropriately; edit these as possibly needed from your UserCP above or the Quick Links above.

And don't be shy about posting. Click Forums above, tour the long list of choices, and jump in anywhere you're qualified. PM me with any questions, and I'll try to find a pretty good answer.
