New old diver from NJ

Hi, I’m getting back into scuba 10 years after getting my OW and doing a few dives. And then life happened….

Actually getting back by way of freediving. Just got my level 1 certification (FII) and love it. I did a refresh scuba dive in Florida and am hooked.

Being in NJ I would eventually like to get the skills and equipment to do boat dives here, which I understand are challenging. So signed up for AOW and Nitrox and doing a lot of reading about BP/W setups.

Welcome. If you look through the Welcome forum threads, you'll find a lot of 'got certified, did some dives, life (often kids) happened, years later I'm back' threads, so you are not alone.

Do you know I’d any groups dive around Valley? I was there with my freedive group last weekend. Not the most exciting scenery but nice deep water.
