Ideally wanted to use this website to buy some used gear as it seems to be the most popular with divers. I need 5 posts to send someone a dm though. And it wont allow me to post wanted listings on the gear feeds. Any easy was to get around this? Thanks for any help.

btw if you have a set of XL deep6eddies you are willing to part with i am interested. trying to get a pair before my AOW

Well, I’ll start by saying welcome to scubaboard.
I see your in CA, what part.
I’ll help you get your first five posts, then we can talk about gear.

Welcome to SB!

I'm sure you can appreciate that the reason for the requirement of a minimum number of posts is to deter spammers and scammers. Have a look through the myriad sub-forums, and try participating in a discussion or two, which is really what SB is all about. The Classifieds section is sort of an added service to participating SB members. We all have stuff we want to buy and sell from time to time, and it's nice to be able to deal with people you feel you have gotten to "know" from their discussion posts rather than some random lurker. Jump in, the water is nice!

Looks like @Eric Sedletzky is happy to talk about CA diving and gear. If you dive in CA, have a look at the the regional forum, maybe post a comment or question about dive sites or finding buddies or local dive shops or whatever. Just some suggestions. Have fun. :)

I appreciate the thorough response. Seems like this is a much more “community” oriented website which is awesome but something I am not used to. Ill definitely check the local threads and hope to see you around!

Yes from Santa Rosa. Just click on the users name and a box will open showing their profile.
So you’re up north in the north north, like close to Oregon? Where is Blue Lake?
