I did what you suggested in the end, ill see how it goes next dive but i also like the extender hose idea and just clip that to my BC somewhere discreet! thanks for the suggestions guys!

It was the word "occy" in your title. I used to have a friend that lives in Brisbane and that's what he called his octo or safe second. SO I just figured you were in Australia and then I looked at the left side of your post and saw that you were from WA.

I hope that works out good for you, I know I like mine setup like that.
