computers are a big + but don't forget the basics that you learned (tables) if a computer craps out on a trip you could still dive (after alotted time out of h2o using gauges/tables).

Thanks for the "constructive" criticism on not enough poll options. But that is all I wanted to ask.... ever think of that? :06: ha ha I would add some if I could but I think that was my first post ever.
I agree with checking your dive tables. Always have back up.

Not enough options in the poll. Diving with a computer is not a necessity. Dive tables work very well, thank you very much. Do I use a computer? Yes, but I check my tables for most dives and then compare the computer to the tables. Making multiple dives over several days is what makes a computer very useful. That is the only reason I ever bought one.
