As long as the boat fills up and the weather cooperates and the stars align and the million other things that have to happen do as they should, I am planning a trip out to the Mighty O. Since this is my first time on the O and in the gulf for that matter I'm not sure what the vis and temp should be for next weekend..... I know it can't be predicted 100% but I don't know what exposure protection I will need and dive lights or things like currents this time of year..... Please post up your advise!!!

Thanx

Here is a NOAA weather buoy link for pensacola, florida. We are experiencing
a cold front this week in florida. I'm from farther south in florida but down here
our gulf temps respond usually within a few days with decreasing or increasing
air temperatures. Not sure about the deeper waters but the shallower stuff
responds within days of the changing air temps.

Move this to the Deep Dxie Divers forum and you will get people that regualry dive there to jump in.

Haven't been to the O in a while, but talked to some that were out there last week. Water temps have cooled, and lots of people are diving 5 mils. This time of year, the vis is usually great. Hope you get out there and have a good time.
