I dove with a 2mm shorty under a 3mm full wetsuit all winter. I used a hood during the winter as well and was generally comfortable except on one dive. The coldest ocean dives were in the low 70's. On one occasion the blue heron bridge water temps were in the low 60's and that was felt very cold to me though my dive buddy only wore a .5MM and a hood.

Jim, that is soo cool, did they come up to you?? Dolphins...love them...kayak with them every year in the outer banks.

Hi,
They swam around us, didn't get too close because they had some young ones in the pod.
Mom kept the kids away from us.
But it was very cool to see them circle around the boat and us.
