I'm just starting to plan my second dive trip to the Philippines for May/June 2024 timeframe, and noticed my US passport expires in early Oct 2024. Does anyone know if Philippines requires 6 months remaining on your passport to travel there?

Philippines requires 6 months of passport validity after entry.

OK, Thanks for the response!

Schengen Area: You have to have a passport/ID card from one of the member states even an expired one (less than 6 months) is ok

Yeah, but that has nothing to do with entry into the Schengen EU from abroad/non-member state. Depending on the port/country of entry, one tyicaly needs a passport with a minimum of 3 months before expiration.

I think every country in the world has the 6 month rule.
Ironically, your own country does NOT have this requirement...
