Does anyone have any experience with the Pinnacle Freedom Dry Suit? Looks like a good deal for a trilam.

Thanks

I have the Evo2 and its absolutely fantastic. Pinnacle did a great job of putting it together. They used the best valves (SI Tech) and the overall construction is great. That combined with the wetsuits of theirs that I have leads me to believe that the Freedom will be a great suit as well.

Here is a pic of a custom one we did for a guy in Iraq...he was coming home soon and really wanted a present to help pass the time even though he couldnt dive there...

Also, if you look at my trader rating, the last one posted by rand, he just got a custom one and finished his DS class if you want some more advice or comments from a straight newbie about the suit, feel free to PM him.

It really is one of the best entry level suits you can get into at that price! Great construction, great valves, pocket, Pinnacle has some of the best customer service around as well. I highly recommend it for the price!

The Pinnacle Freedoms have been in rental now for a year in an area rife with rocks, barnacles, and other sharp things for new drysuit divers to find. And they have been used in every class for the past year as well.

No holes in any of them, the fabric has been fantastic for puncture resistance. It's also held up well to knee scuffs, and other assorted abrasion points including harness rub around the arms. The seams are sewn then taped, and the work these guys have done is astounding. welded vs. taped used to be a big discussion point, but not anymore as the adhesives used these days are absolutely fantastic, and now it's more down to the quality of work rather than the technology.

Value wise the suit is a solid purchase, heck it even has suspenders, hose, and pocket included in the price.

Thanks matnik, I'll take that under advisement. You've been very helpful.

Tip of the day: Don't look up
