I am curious how those of you that use pneumatics store the shaft in pre and post dive 'safety mode'. I have been using sling guns for a while, but not too long ago picked up a short pneumatic (75) for shallow reef hunting.
Whether I take it on a boat or just shore dive I want it unloaded, obviously. So, I made a short tube out of pvc with flat on one side so it would snug up to the barrel and zip tied it to the body of the gun so I can stuff the shaft in it. I made a little keeper to hold it place..the shaft line winds up as usual.
What do y'all do?
I have been on a boat once where someone loaded it onboard then jumped. I cringed. And, kept my distance after discussing it with the guy.
