Back on subject, yes I do feel that scuba has benefited my breathing.
I do get some minor aches and pains from diving, age I guess, but I
do feel much more refreshed and drop off alot of job stress underwater.
 
Best benefit? Gee, all the great stories and pictures we come home with! There ain't a gymnast or hockey player in the world who can beat our story (and pictures) of our shark dive with their sports anecdotes!! :)
 
i agree with,
relaxation
breath control
situational awarness.
and problem solving.

i would add calmness under pressure.

also i would add better relations with my wife. i have never heard her *****
(* = female dog) once while diving.
