I will be in CT on 6/12 and 6/13 for business, and I'm considering extending the trip for a day to get a dive in. Can anyone recommend a charter or a site for a Wednesday dive? For reference, I'm an experienced recreational diver (>200 dives) with some limited tec experience (deco, wreck penetration, etc).

Thanks! (Cross-posted from the market section - thanks for the suggestion, Rafael!).

Eagle,

Are you looking to dive in Connecticut or are you planning to drive to Rhode Island or Mass on your free Wednesday?

I'm definitely willing to drive to RI or Mass. My plans may be changing a bit (may move back a week to the 19th), but I'll know that today.

Eagle,

If you're willing to drive to Cape Ann, MA (not too far from the Hartford area, maybe two hours?) Cape Ann Divers has a 10 AM Captain's Choice scheduled for both Wednesdays.

If you want less of a drive, Orbit Divers in Bridgeport, CT has Wednesday morning dives scheduled on their boat.

Orbit divers is a fine time, but since you're not local and you're making an effort to dive around here, I would drive to Cape Ann! If your trip is indeed rescheduled for the week of the 19th, I might be on that Cape Ann charter with you.

Perhaps another board member will have some information about Rhode Island charters.

The 10am time gives me enough time to get up there, too. I think that sounds like the right plan. Of course, I'm having a difficult time getting commitments on the work plans so that I can plan the good stuff!
