Possible/unconfirmed fire at Allegro hotel

You know this is probably the best thing that could happen to the Allegro/Diamond.......hopefully they do a big refresh on it and get it back up to par with the nicer hotels it has to compete with. It's been a loooong time since it had a face lift. Glad no one was hurt, but it should be a good thing.

Sorry to bump an old thread but it didn't seem worth starting a new one.

Heard from a local that video camera showed the fire was set intentionally (presumably for insurance money).
this is pretty shocking since guests were there! Has anyone heard anything similar or seen any reports of a cause?

I also heard that. The resort was still closed the first week of November.
