Follow up to Bamboo Beach (aka Nananu Beach and Dive Resort).
Bamboo Beach Resort was permanently closed on 01 Apr 2005. The resort was sold by George and Nils then reopened as Nananu Beach and Dive Resort, but after a relatively short period of operation it was again closed. As far as I am aware it will not reopen. Last time I was in the area I was told that the resort property has been purchased by Hilton (along with additional property on the island) and will eventually be developed, but at this time there are no firm plans. There is a caretaker at the resort but they have not been accepting guests for years.
