Hi,

Anyone can help to advise/recommend some good liveaboard to Similan. There are around 6 of us, thinking of going liveaboard to Similan in coming Mar for around 8D7N. We are more into budget trip. Thanks!!

Hi,

Most liveabords to the Similans take 4 days, some do also 6 days. The 6 days ones are not the budget trips though.
What you could consider, is making a trip to the South Andaman (Hin Daeng/Hin Muang), followed by 4 days Similans.
For a 4 days Similan trip you have to count on appx. 20,000 Baht, for a nice boat including AC etc. Cheaper boats are also possible, but only on basic (but safe) boats.

Don't wait too long, because there are lots of pre bookings this year, and you guys are with a big group.

Check out Viking - but be warned you are looking at peak season and all the good one could be full by now

Hi there,

I am heading out to the Similan for a 5days/6nights liveaboard in a couple of days. I considered going with the viking, it's a beautiful boat and there's lots of great things written about it on the board. However, all of the luxury comes at a price and since you are on a budget i would not recommend it.

I ended up chosing the jonathan cruiser, they came highly recommended by a couple of people on this board and other friends i know who have dove with them. More importantly, they are $400 less than the viking. Check out their website at http://www.jonathan-cruiser.com

Also, if you do a search for "thailand liveaboard, or Phuket liveaboard" you will find lots of information on the board.

You might want to check out these sites. I came across them when i was researching my trip.

Good luck and I'll tell you how everything went with the jonathan Cruiser when i get back.
