I am not sure what happened with some peoples dive but i have to say that the Red Sea was AWESOME! I could not of asked for a better experience. The price was so cheap for all we got and the staff rocked! I flew into Hurghada and stayed at a wonderful resort - Lotus Bay in Safaga. They had their own boats and dive shop on site. All inclusive breakfast and dinner buffets. Home cooking on the boat for lunch. Dive in the morning and lunch and then dive afternoon. The crew stayed on the same boat and we stayed with them. Got to know them well. The crew was so good that we had two paraplegics and one quadraplegic on board. They had a great time.
The sites were amazing. Tons of eels 8-9 feet long, Blue Spotted Rays, Octopi and my most favorite A NAPOLEAN FISH! It was so amazing. They even set up a trip to the Nile at Luxor for us. We also had a personal escort to a local jewelry shop and got some beautiful gold.
I recommend the Lotus Bay Hotel, and Barakuda Diving Center, Safaga Egypt.
