a switch was thrown. A new level of awareness was attained.

Rescue is not just a course, it is a continuing state of mind.

I don't think there is any better summary of what you should get out of a rescue class......

Like many, it shifted my focus from myself to an outward awareness, be it buddies, the "group" as a whole, and even looking at the environment differently. All this 23 years after certification. I was blessed with a really solid foundation in my certification class, and I was a self confident diver. This really changed the world for me in regard to what my focus should be.
