DebbyDiver:
I didn't start the thread, but I could be at North of Sunrise at 7:30 a.m. with two tanks!!! A good rallying point is next to or just North of what used to be called Green Condo but is now mustard colored; it is just South of a funky little condo called the 1200 Building. What says you, oh first poster in this thread? :)

So, what yer talkin'bout is Not the area of planted sea oats,
but where A-1-A takes a slight jog east at the north end of Birch State Park.

Atsa where all the plastic boat peeps (kayakers) call home base.

I'm still keeping an eye on the swell activity this weekend as well
as the surge might have the vis down a bit.

If yer gonna be THAT close to kayak territory
I -might- come down with a yak or two.

Not sure but I think Sea Dragon is in class for her Adv.cert this weekend.

On a future dive weekend note ... has anyone dove from Vista Park?
A bit south of Oakland Park Blvd., nearly same shore/reef profile.

ReneeC:
Well Hello Bob! Why don't you join us this Saturday morning and tell us all about it.
We always like to meet new members.

Well I'd love to, however, I'm still working on getting my OW. I'm still a "newbie" lol.

Chick Dive- Oh NO! - - Who would SKipper the boat?? (bringing back memories for some..) :0

I have sat and looked at the water around the Oakland Park Blvd area and that looks like a promising dive! IF you go in that area take good notes and post a detailed report. I would like to dive that area when I get down there sometime.

Yes, where y'all had your breakfast picnic last month! I am hoping to buy a dive kayak in the future, but this year has been a...let's say...a challenge financially. Thank goodness we live in an area with spectacular beach diving!

Not in years and years, I used to take students from there when I was still instructing. How is the parking situation there now?

Is Vista Park right next to the new condos? If so, I dived there a month ago. Pretty much the same as the Sunrise location, maybe even less coral heads. But does have some elkhorn coral.

Eric--:whack: You deserve it! :D

Man. If I was in Florida, I would be there.

I plan on joining you too!

been here a while... first post ever... ha...
