Just an FYI - AKR is one of the places on Roatan where it IS safe to drink the water. I wouldn't in the West End except at a few places like Argentinean Grille or Oooloonthoo - we did without getting sick. Anywhere they offer bottled water at the table - there's your first clue...Also if you buy any food off the trucks it should be pre-washed also. http://www.revuemag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/04-Honduras-Fruit-Truck.jpg

Just drink alcohol instead...:D

So in the last remaining days before the trip ....

Regarding Nitrox, is it banked or PP blended? (ie, should I bring an O2 analyzer as well as each tank may be different if PP blended?)

REPLY FROM AKR

The nitrox is made using a membrane system. It usually runs around 32%, but fluctuates up and down up to 0.5% as we are pumping. We have 2 stationary Oxygen analyzers in the nitrox room. When we have big groups, most of the guests just have us put the nitrox tanks on the boat with a sticker telling the %, that we measure as we are pumping it into the tanks. If some of the guests want to check each tank, they can use the 2 analyzers or bring one to have on the boat.
