The ScubaPro rep left a few HP “loaners” at our dive shop for test drives. Like try-before-you-buy. Is that an option where you live?

Does the pin push out easily?

Pin pushes out quite easily. I used a small Hex wrench WITH a screwdriver handle. Much easier than you think. I owe @Glenndini a cold one for the tip.

I'm liking the idea of the round ring you've used. Much neater. I owe you a cold one right back. :cheers:

The only "issue" I encountered is that the diameter of the ring is slightly greater than that of the existing one and the strap is really close to manufacturer tolerance resulting in a really tight fit when you re-insert the pin. Not a big deal but it's noticeable when you do it.

I am trying this, seems to be OK so far. The bigger target makes it easier to clip my reg and small things onto. I think anything heavier would still pull the ring to one side.

Thanks for the tip. I decided to use a stainless ring which is bigger and cannot flip out of position. What a major difference! Pic below shows difference in size. This is a much bigger target for blind clipping.

You guys are awesome!

@tridacna

Where do you get that big Ring please?

Also:

I can see you wearing this BC and looking pretty instead of that Tanker-truck you are wearing :p
