go further south to Suhoton (El Nido looked) there you find non sting Jelly fish, two type. but remember to travel via Van to the town of Hayanggabon, then just cross the channel. I once make a almost deadly mistake by listening to Siargao locals going thru the eastern sea lane with wife n son on a small boat passing thru 3 type of weather on choppy sea in a small banca for 4 HOURS!. so don't depend on local people, must do research on you own. Suhoton is a hidden paradise. at Siargao, their an up market dive shop in Pansukian resort.

I've read mixed reports from different European forums about the diving in Siargao. I wanted to try go last year, but didn't have the chance. Apparently there are springs. I have an unconfirmed feeling andibk was exploring around there.... (useless speculation)

The closest confirmed diving I've heard about is Surigao. Lyndon C is from the area, but he posts sporadically. His pictures were why I wanted to get down there sometime.

This is his website:
Surigao Dive Club, Inc.

And I contacted this guy about diving there:
Dive Surigao

Phil from Sogod Bay told me that if Sogod Bay ever gets commercialized he'll mosey on down that way.

And here's my research of the places I was contemplating to stay:
tarzan resort (on Dagohoy) http://www.tarzansresort.com/loc.php
cherinicole resot (Gen Luna) http://www.cherinicoleresort.com/accomodation.php
ocean 101 (Gen Luna) http://www.ocean101cloud9.com/accomodation.html
Patricks on the Beach (Yohoho, but they also have a resort near Cloud 9) http://www.patrickonthebeach.com/Siargao-Island-Philippines-Beach-Resort-Accommodation-RATES.html

Someday I'll get there. :)
