Well... this past weekend saw me prune-like, in the pool. Got through the knowledge bits and the confined water bits in two long days. Instructor Fred Kuhns was outstanding. People at The Dive Shop, Gary, et al, were great. I forgot how hard 8 lengths of the pool could be to make in one swim... That 8th length was by determination alone, I can tell you that.

Seems like my next step is four OW dives over two days in Cozumel, and then I should be 100% certified newbie.

Doesn't take long to figure out I need a dive computer...
