Thanks U.P. and Tarrasmak. Sounds like the softer/flexi-er rubber doesn't make any difference then. I was concerned having tried different hardness/softer materials with twin jets and the very obvious differences material stiffness made with those fins. Thanks again for helping me out.

I use both .. but not at the same time :D

Anwho, Turtles are shorter. I find swimming backwards to be easier with the
JetFins but the Turtles are very fine fins and much easier to use in confined areas; such as climbing a ladder. The only criteria that I use when deciding which fin to use is which one fits the suit I am planning on using.

Uncle Pug:
I'm sure there are differences in the characteristics to one degree or another. They go un-noticed because they are not differences that effect how I use the fins.

If you want to do efficient frog, helicopter and reverse kicks (or lateral sculling head down and vertical while looking under ledges) then you want a paddle fin and either the Jet or the Turtle work great and are fairly inexpensive as fins go.

Best not to over-focus on the minutiae. Foot pocket fit is the bigger issue.

Just wanted to let all know that I'm buying a set of Turtles from my LDS tomorrow, thanks to your imput and feedback.
I will get to pool swim them and still return them if I don't like them as well as the Jets, but I'm pretty sure it isn't going to be an issue now.

Thanks once more everybody,
Jim T.
