Sorry to hear.
Eyes out.

Another identifier to look for is the boat name 'CHAOS' on the side of the boat.

It wouldn't surprise me if they strip the accessories and outboard before dumping the boat. Let's also keep an eye out for a Yamaha 4-stroke outboard (125 or 150 if I recall correctly).

Yamaha 150HP 4 stroke

Probably a lot easier to take with the trailer, too, don't ya think?
Of course it is, and that's why I stated "trailer and all", they got the whole shebang. So now they not only have to replace the boat but the trailer too. :depressed:

My first boat was stolen, stripped for the outdrive and other parts, then dumped. So sad. But, I wonder if your boat got shipped to the islands.

I pray you have good insurance. I'm so sorry. :depressed:

Jeeez... that's rotten.

I'm currently boat shopping for my first boat, and that is one of my big fears!

Do you mind if I ask-- was there a hitch lock on the trailer, and did the thieves defeat the lock? If so, how did they defeat it?

The police called in the middle of the night & they found the boat on the side of the road in miami. They said it was stripped and there is no trailer. It's at a tow yard so I have to go see the damage.

How the hell am I suppose to get the boat with no trailer? Am where am I going to keep it with no trailer or motor.....Someone steals my boat & I'm going to end up paying even more money to get the damn thing home.

Can you get your insurance agent to arrange transportation, or get the marina that is going to re-rig the boat to pick it up?

If you have insurance, I would make a claim for total loss, depending on if you have a replacement value policy or current value.

I know one fellow who bought his boat back from the ins. company after it was totaled and redid, but it was a labor of love. Unless you are totally in love with the boat, may be better to just get the check and buy a replacement.

Most smaller boats are stripped, its usually the big twin/trip engine center consoles that are used intact for smuggling (humans/drugs) then ditched.
