That's the big deal. The other Suuntos make dandy bottom timers for technical diving, and even include (thoughtfully!) a resettable "stopwatch" which works REAL nicely for timing deco stops, while maintaining your logbook memory for profile analysis later.

true, but it does allow you to "charge" the face by holding a light up to it, and then the face of the gekko will glow for several hours.

or so they say.
