One dive store general manager told me of a couple, who was in his store to get their kids certified, who got engaged on the Texas Clipper one summer many years ago. They were very interested in diving it as an artificial reef.
 
Texas Parks and Wildlife would appreciate anyone with stories about the vessel. If you know someone, have them write TPWD Artificial reef program in Austin.
