Hey, sounding VERY interesting (planning vacations for next year.) Few quick add'l questions...

* What kind of exposure suit would you need for the Red Sea?
* How much of the gear would it be better to rent, vs. bringing your own...

Type of suit would depend on time of year. Anything from 3mm to drysuit depending on where and when.

As for gear i take my own always but you can rent if you want from anywhere.

As said above, exposure suit depends on the time and your feeling of the cold. Regarding the equipment, rental gear is normally in good condition (depends on the operator).

This is rather a late reply for your enquiry.. BUT consider Aqaba Jordan..
