When visiting be aware that there are a lot of buoys missing up here. I am aware of the following:
Portland
Nordmeer
VanValkenburg
Thew
Barge #1
New Orleans (shallow)
The Middle Island sinkhole buoy is out in the middle of the hole so you would be better off anchoring between the Island and the sink instead.

Just heard they are going out today to place some buoys. Will keep you apprised of which ones when I find out.

Buoys are back on New Oeleans (shallow), VanValkenburg, and Thew.
Barge #1 needs a new chain I guess and there are no plans to buoy the Nordmeer at present due to the possibility of a boat holing itself on the reck while trying to tie to a buoy.
